Staying Fresh
Variety is the spice of life. It is as true work your
workout as for everything else. Lets face it, the same old reps get
pretty boring after a while. Every variation in angle, hand spacing,
position, and execution can be changed often to more fully work an area
your concentrating on.

Armed & Ready
We all have at least one body part that is easier than
the others to work on. For me it's my arms and I thought this week, I

Home Workouts
There's so much to do this time of year, it's hard to get to the gym
regularly. As I've discussed here before, there is always a little time
in everyone's schedule for health. And, looking good in a Speedo isn't
the prime reason for working out. But, we've covered that topic too.

Into The Groove
With the approach of fall we're spending more time indoors and that, for
many of us means, less exercise. But, just because you can't get to the
beach and swim, or go jogging or blading doesn't mean it's time
to give up on fitness. ...more July 27, 2004

Warm Up
The biggest mistake most people make in their workout is skipping a
warm-up and stretching. That's a pity. A good ten minutes spent in
warming up would help them accomplish so much more in the gym. Even more
important, it is the best way of preventing injury and back pain.

Thunder Thighs
I see it time and again: A great upper body with
massive pecs and pumped guns, but puny legs. Not only does it look
silly, it is unhealthy. Your legs support your torso. If the base of a
structure isn't sound, the building likely to tumble.

10 Things Gay Men Need to Know
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) recently asked its
members what 10 health care concerns men who have sex with men (MSM)
should include in discussions with their physicians or other health care
providers. Patients often don't know what they should ask their
health care provider. And worse, many providers don't know what
to look for. To effectively provide the best in health care, knowledge
and honesty are essential.

You are determined to fit into that bikini and look incredibly hot on

Personal Training
It used to be that gym members joined for the amenities, like towels,
TVs and Jacuzzis. Not any more. Large and small, gyms are
surrendering to the celebrity of personal trainers. New members
are asking to interview the training staff before they buy a membership.
If they’re not impressed with the selection they won’t close the deal.

Instant Body
As you are bombarded by ads on television about home gym equipment and
assured that just 20 minutes on this machine or that machine will give
you the body of a cover model, you begin to ask yourself: Do
these machines really work? Will I really use them at home? Is
it easier to work out at home? Can one machine really do what it takes
10 machines to do in a gym?

Beyond The Six-Pack
If I could ban six-packs (or at least the word) from the earth I would
do it in a heartbeat. Why? Because they're hard to get for most of us
and they're virtually meaningless (except in the often shallow world of
beauty and appearance). We're so focused on washboard abs that we
forget the importance of a strong torso. Here's what's
going on beyond the elusive six-pack.

Weak Below The Knees
Call a sprained ankle the injury that gets little respect. Some ice,
elevate the foot, and it'll be fine, right? Actually, millions of
sufferers have weak ankles at risk of repeated sprains,
chronic pain or other injury because they improperly treated that first
sprain.
